Tattoo education

Instruction videos for artists who want to sharpen their craft.

Long-form lessons from Justin Abel covering the movements, decisions, and practical techniques behind professional tattooing. This library begins with one of the foundations of every strong tattoo: clean, controlled lines.

Learn responsibly

Education supports training—it does not replace it.

This material is intended for adult artists and apprentices pursuing professional education. Tattooing carries risks including infection, allergic reaction, scarring, and bloodborne-pathogen exposure. Follow applicable licensing and health requirements, complete bloodborne-pathogen and sanitation training, use sterile single-use supplies, and practice on synthetic skin before working on a person.

The growing instruction library

More lessons are coming.

Future videos can be organized here by subject—including lining, shading, color packing, stencil placement, machine setup, and troubleshooting. Chapter titles and timestamps will be added as each lesson is edited.
